Dear HR Representative
or Hiring Manager,
Because my skills cover a lot of ground, I hope this generalized letter gives
you an overview of what I can offer to your company. I am an extremely hard
worker and promise to exceed your expectations for the position offered.
For Manager Positions
If you’re looking for someone to manage a creative team, I’d be an excellent
candidate. I’m very adept at managing creative (sometimes temperamental)
personalities. Over the course of 10 years I hired and managed two different
teams (both at Autodesk and my own company) that delivered quality products on
time and within the defined budgets.
I’ve managed million dollar budgets, mentored and provide leadership for my
teams, given timely and fair performance reviews, arbitrated staff conflicts and
took Autodesk’s management training.
I’m very adept at trouble-shooting problems. These abilities are not limited to
software/hardware issues either; I’m also quite good at solving personnel
problems.
For Individual Contributor Positions
I am a self starter and can dive deeply into any project that I’m assigned. I
love being a part of a project team and have well honed interpersonal skills.
I have a knowledge base that spans a wide range of technology realms and I’m
very adept at trouble-shooting issues, be they hardware or software derived.
I learn new software extremely quickly, most often to the point where I tutor
the usage of the software with other members of my team.
Summation:
Where ever I work, I tend to become one of the company’s most noticeable
contributors.
Oh, did I mention that I’m also a genuine rocket scientist? Check out

Thank you for your consideration.
